What is Direct Link
Direct Link is the Trumbull County Board of Developmental Disabilities' community employment program. The community employment department of the Trumbull County Board of Developmental Disabilities adheres to the vision, mission, philosophy and values of the county board in that it provides opportunities and resources that enable individuals with developmental disabilities to fully participate as valued members of the community, particularly in the realm of employment.
Direct Link not only helps job seekers in finding and keeping jobs, it assists employers with finding and keeping qualified and reliable employees. Direct Link operates under the philosophy of matching job seekers with business's needs.

Direct Link, as part of the Trumbull County Board of Developmental Disabilities, operates with the vision of providing opportunities for growth that enriches quality of life and the mission of providing opportunities and resources that enable job seekers to fully reach their potential as members of the community. Direct Link is committed to working within the guidelines of both state and federal rules and regulations that have been adopted to assist people with barriers to employment in obtaining work. Direct Link is also a strong proponent of Ohio's Employment First statute.
Who is Direct Link
Direct Link consists of staff who have been dually certified through the state of Ohio Departments of DODD (Department of Developmental Disabilities) and OOD (Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities). Staffing includes job coaches, employment coordinators, transition specialists and a job developer. All staff are thoroughly trained with regard to health and safety, behavior support and best practices in the field of rehabilitation. The Direct Link staff possess years of previous experience in working with individuals with disabilities.
